TEMPO and TEMPO Gin Smash are a rapidly expanding alcoholic beverage based in Vancouver, Canada. I worked with this client from 2018 - 2022. One of the big shifts this brand took was a complete rebrand of their gin in 2020. I worked to create this new label as well as working with a small team to roll out the new design into a new brand identity.

  • For TEMPO Gin, the challenge was to create a full branding package that effectively captured the light, complex flavor of the gin while reintroducing the brand to a market familiar where people are already familiar with the old look and feel. My solution encompassed the design of a new label, development of a cohesive visual identity, and creation of comprehensive marketing materials.

    To capture the essence of TEMPO Gin, I designed a new label concept that visually represents its light and complex flavor profile. This involved using elegant typography and intricate graphic elements in bright but gentle colors that evoke the sophistication and subtlety of the gin. The color palette was carefully selected to reflect the freshness and vibrancy of the product.

    Building on this new label design, I worked with a team of three to create a comprehensive brand and visual identity. This included creating packaging design, and a cohesive visual language that would be easily recognizable across all touchpoints. The visual identity was designed to be versatile and adaptable, ensuring consistency whether seen on a bottle, in a store poster, or online.

    To support the rebranding effort, we created digital advertising campaigns and supporting print materials. These assets were designed to engage both new and existing customers, highlighting the unique qualities of TEMPO Gin. Social media graphics, web ads, and print advertisements were all crafted to ensure a unified and appealing reintroduction into the market.
