The inaugural Manly Writers Festival took place on the famous Manly Beach this past March 2024. This three day festival brought readers, writers and thinkers together to explore their writing and ideas. With more then 80 authors in 40 events, people flocked from all over Australia to attend this writing event.

  • Create branding that spoke to the soul of the event, which took place on in the natural beauty of Manly Beach

Create brand recognition for future events

Clear, concise assets for festival goers

Create strong brand recognition leading up to the event

  • For the Manly Beach Festival, the challenge was to develop a branding strategy that encapsulated the essence of the event, seamlessly blending with the natural beauty of its coastal setting. My approach centered on creating a visual identity that resonated deeply with the festival's beachside location. This involved incorporating elements such as ocean waves, sandy textures, and vibrant sunset hues into the design palette, which not only highlighted the festival's connection to its environment but also evoked a sense of relaxation and enjoyment synonymous with a day at the beach.

To establish strong brand recognition both leading up to and during the event, I designed a cohesive suite of marketing materials and festival assets. These included posters, social media graphics, banners, and merchandise, all unified by a distinct logo and consistent visual elements.

Additionally, I developed clear and concise informational assets such as schedules and signage to enhance the festival-goers' experience, ensuring they could easily navigate and fully enjoy the event. By creating a visually striking and memorable brand, I aimed to build anticipation and excitement prior to the festival while laying the groundwork for recognizable and lasting brand identity for future events.

"Kimberly is fantastic to work with. She is creative, has a good eye, detail-minded, great technical skills, and a good communicator. I would not hesitate to work with her again."
