The inaugural Manly Writers Festival took place on the famous Manly Beach this past March 2024. This three day festival brought readers, writers and thinkers together to explore their writing and ideas. With more then 80 authors in 40 events, people flocked from all over Australia to attend this writing event.
My role was to create the branding for the actual event. Taking inspiration from the famous trees and beaches that surrounded the venue, I brought in the motifs of gentle waves, the blues and greens of the surrounding nature, and gentle organic shapes. I was responsible for producing all the design assets of the event, from banners, signage and volunteer uniforms to tote bags, coffee cups and various other branded items of attendees. The branding was as big of a success as the festival itself, and helped to capture the spirit of the event and the location.
